Our Fall Menu Is Here

← Back to News

Every time the seasons shift, so does our kitchen. Fall is one of our favorite times of year at Four Café — the ingredients that come in from local farms are deeply satisfying in a way that summer produce just isn't. There's a richness to it. Roasted squash, earthy root vegetables, warming spices. Food that makes you feel grounded.

This fall we've leaned into that energy harder than ever. Our team spent weeks developing new dishes that feel both familiar and genuinely exciting — the kind of food you want to come back to on a cold Tuesday afternoon.

What's New This Season

We've added a roasted delicata squash bowl that's become an instant staff favorite. Delicata is sweeter and more tender than butternut — it caramelizes beautifully in the oven and pairs perfectly with the herbed tahini drizzle we're finishing it with. It comes over a bed of farro with pickled red onion and toasted pepitas for crunch.

Our warm grain salad is back by popular demand, this time with roasted beets, candied walnuts, and a sherry vinaigrette that's sharp enough to cut through all that sweetness. It's one of those dishes that looks simple on the menu but is genuinely complex when you eat it.

On the heartier side, we've got a braised short rib plate that we're really proud of. Slow-cooked for six hours until it falls apart, served over creamy polenta with a chimichurri that brightens the whole thing up. It's the kind of dish we don't always have the bandwidth to run, so get it while it's here.

Ingredients We're Excited About

We source as locally as we can, and fall in Southern California means incredible citrus starting to come in alongside the root vegetables. We're using Cara Cara oranges from a small grower in the San Fernando Valley in our seasonal vinaigrette right now — the color alone is worth it.

Mushrooms are another obsession this time of year. We've been working with a forager who brings us chanterelles and oyster mushrooms weekly. You'll find them showing up in a few different places on the menu depending on what's available.

Come In and Try It

The fall menu runs through the end of January, but some items rotate out sooner if we can't get the ingredients consistently. The best way to know what's on is to come in — we post daily specials at the counter, and our team loves talking about the food.

We're open every day noon to 8pm at 2122 Colorado Blvd in Eagle Rock. Order online or stop by.
